May 29, 2020

You’ve seen the small group training classes popping up at our new studio, Fortitude. You’ve thought about checking out the classes. You’ve even peeked in the window when heading to the gym. But, you haven’t made the leap to join us. Why is that? Are you unsure of what a group class can do for you? Well, let us tell you. It’s scientifically proven that you can get a better workout when doing so in a group setting.

Top 5 Reasons to Join our Small Group Training Class

Personal Attention – Our Small Group Training classes are small by design so you’ll be able to get some personal attention from the trainer. While it’s not a one on one personal trainer, it’s someone that can give you quick tips and will be aware of your form for the best possible workout. And it’s a lot less expensive than a personal trainer!

Group Encouragement –Small Group Training Classes are full of people that are in the same boat as you. They want to get fit and need a positive environment to do so. So everyone encourages each other to get in the last few reps, even when pulling out those last couple of dreaded burpees!

Fun Environment – We know what you’re thinking, working out is…fun?! In a small group training class, it is absolutely an enjoyable time. Whether you’re doing an arm, back or lower body guided class, working out together causes smiles that are infectious.

Accountability – You think you keep yourself accountable, wait until a group of people count on you to be there to keep the fun environment going. Making a few buddies in the class is sure to help motivate you to meet up for scheduled classes.

Social Interaction – Speaking of those friends that keep you accountable, the best part is that this is the easiest way to make some new connections. Finding people that are on the same fitness path as you build incredible bonds. Or you never know, it is February, you might just find your Valentine!

“Researchers found working out in a group lowers stress by 26 percent and significantly improves quality of life, while those who exercise individually put in more effort but experienced no significant changes in their stress level and a limited improvement to quality of life, according to a study published in The Journal of the American Osteopathic Association.” So why are you still working out alone? Improve your quality of life with small group workouts!

So, check out our schedule of classes and drop in anytime. We cater to all levels of fitness, and it’s a great place for the whole family. We look forward to seeing you at Fortitude!
